The Criw Cymraeg meet on a Monday morning, with their aim being to arrange various ways to promote the speaking of Welsh in and around the school.

The Criw Cymraeg drew up an action plan in September, noting the plans they had to develop and enhance the profile of Welsh throughout the school.

One of the first things they agreed on, was to develop weekly Welsh assemblies. These assemblies take place on a Thursday. As a school we sing Welsh language songs and the National Anthem. Seren yr Wythnos awards are chosen by the Criw, and are given to both teachers and staff who they hear speaking Welsh outside the classroom. The Criw also share Patrwm yr Wythnos, a weekly pattern they encourage everyone to practise.

The Criw also wanted children to join in Welsh games in the yard, so they made a rota to ensure all Criw members lead games during morning playtime.
Recently we celebrated Shwmae Day. Everone came to school wearing red, white and green, and we took part in lots of fun activities.
In November, the Criw Cymraeg presented to the school Governors, explaining their role within the school. They did extremely well, and impressed the Governors with the things they are doing and with their plans for the future
